Detail:
South Cerney Angling Club will be holding it’s free annual taster days for those who would like to have a go at fishing, on Saturday 2nd August, and Saturday 16th August 2014. These events are held as part of National Fishing Month, and supported by the Angling Trades Association, and it's supporting partners. The taster sessions are free to attend, and offer the opportunity to try your hand at fishing with one-to-one guidance from a Licensed Angling Coach. The idea is to encourage every family member to have a go at fishing whatever the age, gender, or disability, or whichever cultural or social background they may be from. After the fishing session there is an opportunity to do some pond dipping, to learn about the bugs and fish that live in our waters.
Both days take place at SCAC’s Gillman’s Lake, on their Wickwater complex, Wickwater Lane, South Cerney, and open at 10.00am and the last session commences at 4.00pm. The sessions last for approximately 30 minutes, with all fishing tackle, bait, and licences provided. Pre booking is essential as spaces are limited. If you would like to take part and have a go at fishing, contact Craig Hunt on 07989 973217
