PetSavers presents our FIRST Walk your dog for PetSavers sponsored dog walk.
Join in the fun of PetSavers first charity dog walk and enjoy a day out with man’s best friend through the beautiful grounds of Cirencester Park, Bathurst Estate, by kind permission of the Earl and Duchess of Bathurst.
The Bathurst Estate and Park designed by landscape gardening enthusiast’s politician Lord Allen Bathurst and 18th century English poet Alexander Pope will provide what we hope to be the perfect autumnal setting for what will no doubt be a great day.
Walk your dog for PetSavers gives people a rare opportunity to enjoy areas of The Bathurst Estate that are not usually open to walking your dog. It is a fascinating example of a forest-style garden at its diverse best with our walks taking visitors through a wide range of habitats.
The PetSavers team have mapped out two of the most scenic routes the estate has to offer one 3 miles long and the other slightly more challenging at 6 miles long, so there’s something to suit all ages and abilities! Highlights along the routes include The Pope’s Seat, The Horse Guards, Badger Roundabout and the famous polo ground, the oldest in the UK, which was founded in 1894.
Simply register to come along and then set up your fundraising page. Ask your family, friends, colleagues, neighbors and classmates to sponsor your walk. Every pound you raise will make a big difference and will help support crucial clinical research to improve conditions affecting our pets.
Registration Tickets are available at £10.00 per dog entry. Registrations close at midnight on Wednesday 22nd October 2014, following which you can register on the day. For further details and to register please visit www.petsavers.org.uk Refreshments Refreshments will be available to purchase at the end of the course, but water will be given out at checkpoints. Feel free to bring along a picnic to enjoy, but please ensure that all litter is disposed of in the bins provided, thank you. Accessibility The 3-mile walk is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. It can become a little muddy in a few places if there has been heavy rain.
