"OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR: Joan Littlewood’s Musical Entertainment, by Theatre Workshop, Charles Chilton, Gerry Raffles and Members of the Original Cast; title suggested by Ted Allen.
One hundred years after the commencement of the First World War, the story of that tumultuous conflict is told through the actual words and songs spoken and sung by the tommies themselves. This open-air production (with wet weather alternative) is presented by The Riverside Players, who have over 60 years’ experience of mounting major theatrical productions.
