Thomasina Miers, who was brought up locally, is coming to The Griffin Centre, Rendcomb, GL7 7HA on 16 November.
The bar opens at 6.30pm and the event starts at 7.30pm. Mexican canapes will be served.
The evening is being hosted by Jeremy Lewis, a life patron of the Cheltenham Festivals and we hope to include a short film of her preparing a dish. There will be a Q and A session at the end and Waterstones will be selling her books, which she will sign.

The evening is a charity event being held to raise funds for St Peter’s Church, Rendcomb as the church roof is in urgent need of repairs.
Thomasina was the winner of BBC MasterChef in 2005 and has co-founded the restaurant group Wahaca, inspired by the street food of Mexico. Today there are 25 restaurants. Wahaca has won numerous awards from Observer Food Monthly’s cheap eats to winner of the Sustainable Restaurants Association’s most sustainable restaurant group three years running. She has a regular column in the Guardian magazine on Saturdays. She has written and co-edited 7 cookery books, the latest Home Cook was published in 2017, and has presented various cookery TV programmes.
