Comedian Alex Horne comes to Cirencester

Alex Horne brings his excellent comedy show, ‘When In Rome’ to the Corn Hall on Saturday 8th April 06.

Following the success of his previous two pioneering and semi-educational comedy shows, Alex Horne this year took on one of light entertainment’s final taboos - Latin and won!

Alex Horne has decided that he wants to help stem the decline in Latin use in Britain.
In a bid to make the subject both accessible and funny, Horne takes the audience on a journey to Rome…on a nationwide tour of Roman Towns only. Never attempted before and will probably never be attempted again so catch this innovative, imaginative and interactive show whilst you can!

At the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in August, Alex sold out his entire 4-week run and then went on to completely sell out his London West End run.

The audience decides which direction the show goes and they can join in as little or as much as they like. It is a hysterical comedy show as well as a learning experience and if it comes down to a choice between an ablative absolute and a pun, you’ll probably get both!

The Sunday Times reviewed it as, “Understated deadpan surrealism that echoes the intelligent buffoonery of Python at its best” and The Observer printed, "It's almost impossible to describe in words the absurd inventiveness of this show - you can only see it for yourself"

The show won Alex the, ‘Chortle.co.uk Comedy Award’ and he was nominated for the ‘Perrier Comedy Award’ as Best Newcomer.

If you love live comedy, it would be wrong to miss out on this comedy extravaganza!
