No scheduled waste collections in Cotswold District on Tuesday 22 January

Many side roads and pavements in the district are still icebound and continue to pose severe operational and public safety risks which prevent a resumption of collections.

Cotswold District Council regrets that its waste contractor, Ubico Ltd, is unable to make scheduled waste, recycling and food/garden waste collections today - Tuesday 22 January. Many side roads and pavements in the district are still icebound and continue to pose severe operational and public safety risks which prevent a resumption of collections. There is also a possibility of more snow to come today which could exacerbate conditions.

This means that the catch-up arrangements planned for this week – starting with missed collections from Friday 18 January - will not take place today. The CDC website www.cotswold.gov.uk will set out revised collection arrangements as soon as practicable.

The Cotswold District Council offices in Trinity Road, Cirencester and Moreton Area Centre, the Corinium Museum, and Cotswold Leisure facilities at Bourton, Chipping Campden, Cirencester, Fairford and Tetbury are all open for business today.
