Cirencester Beaujolais Run Plan To Support Local Charities

Businesses should contact Kiean on 01285 644440 to enter the November run and attend a full briefing early September

Cirencester's Le Beaujolais restaurant has challenged local restaurants and public houses and hotels to take part in the annual Beaujolais Run for the town to France and back to raise money for Star College, for young people with disabilities their businesses wish to support through the town and local area.

The entry fee will be £100 per business, with Le Beaujolais giving all of the participation sum to the college, which is located just outside Cheltenham.

Le Beaujolais co-owner Kiean Glynn, accompanied by a member of his staff took part in the 2013 run to Beaujolais in a Mitsubishi Outlander supplied by the brand dealership in Cirencester. They were first back in the the town, and staged a celebratory reception.

All the money raised then was given to youngsters from Deer Park School, Cirencester to help fund a trek to help a village school and families in Nepal. It was a huge success, with more than 20 students taking part.

Kiean Glynn said: "This time we hope that together, the run will be supported by lots of our associates throughout Cirencester who will take part and contribute to so many valuable causes in our town and outside.

"We had to postpone an event for the Star College, which included a cook off between three students because of unforeseen circumstances; so now we hope to build the November run to make a good contribution to Star and aid other charities too", he said.

Businesses should contact Kiean on 01285 644440 to enter the November run and attend a full briefing early September.
