Federation of Small Businesses Moves into UBC Offices in Cirencester

"We are very pleased the FSB has chosen to join our thriving business community in Cirencester"
Tom Mulvaney, Managing Director for UBC

The country’s biggest business representation group - the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) - has opened its new regional office at United Business Centres' office complex in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

The FSB - which has 7,000 members in its Gloucestershire and West of England region, stretching from Bath to Tewkesbury and the Forest of Dean - will now centre its regional activity in a two-room office in the Cirencester Office Park, Tetbury Road.

The FSB say they are delighted with their new base.

"There are many other small businesses already operating at the UBC offices, and we felt it was an ideal position for us to have our regional office as well," said Sam Holliday, FSB Regional Development Manager. "The Cotswolds is an area teeming with great local small businesses and is therefore an ideal place for our regional headquarters."

Tom Mulvaney, Managing Director for UBC, commented:

"We are very pleased the FSB has chosen to join our thriving business community in Cirencester. We accommodate many talented entrepreneurs and small businesses here, and the arrival of such a highly regarded business support group as the Federation of Small Businesses is a very welcome addition. I know that our existing clients will no doubt benefit greatly from the wealth of knowledge and support that the Federation can offer."

The FSB held an official 'opening' of their new UBC office and welcomed local MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, who represents the Cotswolds, to perform the honours.

After having visited the office, Mr Clifton-Brown then hosted a meeting in the boardroom at the business centre where local FSB members discussed access to finance for small businesses
with senior bank representatives.

Mr Clifton-Brown said he was glad to get involved in the meeting and praised the FSB's new office.

"I was very pleased to be asked to attend the opening of the FSB’s office in Cirencester. This is an excellent small modern facility enabling the FSB to efficiently run their entire operation in the
Gloucestershire region."

He continued: "I was also pleased to combine the visit with a good roundtable discussion with HSBC, which centred on the many FSB members who were refused a bank loan last year."

The FSB Cirencester office is the first point of call for members seeking support and advice, as well as providing the base for the organisation's lobbying operation.

UBC Cirencester is based within a new building located just outside the town centre at Cirencester Office Park, close to the Royal Agricultural University and Cirencester College.
