Gloucestershire Manager wins Care Award

Sarah Wiltshire, Deputy Manager at Bupa’s Ashley House Nursing Home has been named winner of the Care Practice Award at the 2014 Bupa Care Home Awards.

Sarah, who has worked at Ashley House Nursing Home on Trafalgar Road in Cirencester since 2011 was nominated by colleagues at the home. Sarah picked up her award from TV presenter, Rylan Clarke at a special ceremony held in Glasgow in July (photo attached).

The Bupa Care Home Awards celebrate the hard work and achievements of around 27,000 employees across almost 300 Bupa care homes. They recognise individuals and teams who have demonstrated exceptional care and have gone the extra mile to support their residents.

Sarah was recognised for her work providing palliative care to residents at Ashley House. Sarah has completed a Masters level module on palliative care and is hoping to complete further modules to gain a full Masters Degree. She has shared her knowledge and experience with the whole care home team to ensure everyone goes that extra mile to deliver exceptional end of life care – supporting residents and their families at this very difficult time.

Sarah Wiltshire, Deputy Manager at Bupa’s Ashley House Nursing Home said:
