Car Collision at Ampney Crucis

Anybody who witnessed the collision and has not already provided their details are asked to contact Gloucestershire Police by telephoning 101 quoting Incident Number 357 of 8th January 2015

Gloucestershire Constabulary are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A417 London Road, Ampney Crucis at 7.30pm on Thursday, 8th January.

The collision was between a Red Vauxhall Corsa, driven by a 19 year old woman from Cirencester who was travelling towards Fairford. The second car, a red Ford Fiesta, was driven by a 65 year woman from Fairford who was travelling towards Cirencester.

Both women were taken by ambulance to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon where the 19 year old was treated for a head injury. She has since been released from hospital. The 65 year old woman was treated for minor injuries.

The road remained closed for several hours whilst officers from the Tri-Force Specialist Operations Collaboration conducted a thorough investigation of the scene.
