One of the most heart-rending of Requiems – written by Brahms following the death of his mother – this stunning choral work manages to convey both the sacred and the humane, with waves of grandeur, yet great intimacy. This evening of Remembrance will also include Howells ‘Take Him, Earth, For Cherishing’ written in response to the death of President John F Kennedy. Cheltenham Bach Choir, under our Music Director David Crown, are joined by two notable international soloists and the Northern Lights Symphony Orchestra for what promises to be a most inspiring evening in the wonderful setting of Cirencester Parish Church.
Tickets in person: £18 (unreserved), students and children £8, from Cirencester Tourist Information at the Corinium Museum. Available from Saturday 14th October.
