Deadline Looms For Cotswold Voters

Cotswold residents who wish to vote at the Parliamentary election, to be held on 6th May, will need to make sure they are included on the electoral register. The deadline for registration is 5pm on Tuesday 20th April.

Anyone who is unsure whether they are registered should contact electoral services at Cotswold District Council on 01285 623002.

There will be around 110 polling stations throughout the district open from 7am until 10pm. Prior to polling day, electors will receive poll cards by post; these will provide information about where they should vote.

Anyone on the electoral register can vote by post. Those wishing to do so can obtain an application form from the Council. Postal Vote application forms must be completed and returned to the Council by 5pm on Tuesday 20th April.

Electors can also appoint a proxy; application forms are available from the Council. Proxy vote application forms must be completed and returned by 5pm on Tuesday 27th April.
Unlike many areas, no local elections are being held in the Cotswolds at this time.

For further information, please contact Kirsty Cox, Electoral Services Manager, on 01285 623002.
