Recent flooding in Cirencester and South Cerney – have your say at public meetings on 14 March

2 pm to 3.30pm at South Cerney Village Hall

4 pm to 6 pm in the Cotswold District Council Chamber at Trinity Road, Cirencester

Cotswold MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown will be chairing two public meetings on Thursday 14 March to discuss the recent flooding events in Cirencester and South Cerney. Representatives from Gloucestershire County Council (the lead local flood authority), Cotswold District Council, the Environment Agency and Thames Water will be present to answer queries and discuss future plans.

Specific details of the meetings are as follows:

2 pm to 3.30pm at South Cerney Village Hall to discuss the South Cerney flooding issues

4 pm to 6 pm in the Cotswold District Council Chamber at Trinity Road, Cirencester to discuss the Cirencester Flooding issues

Cotswold District Council has already established a multi-agency task group with all the above agencies and Cirencester Town Council and, as part of their initial discussions, they made a commitment to convene meetings which would provide a forum for the public.
