Lead Roofing Stolen from Historic Church in Ampney Crucis

The incident, at the church in the village, happened between 6pm on Tuesday September 24 and 1.50pm on Wednesday September 25

Police investigating the theft of lead roofing from a church in Ampney Crucis are appealing to the public for information.

The incident, at the church in the village, happened between 6pm on Tuesday September 24 and 1.50pm on Wednesday September 25.

Offenders have climbed up the outside of the church and once on the roof they have taken a 1 metre x 1 metre section of lead.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 209 of September 25.

You can also give information anonymously by contacting the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org and you may receive a reward if someone is arrested and charged.
