Local Care Home Donates Hamper For Foodbank

"We have been supporting Cirencester Foodbank for a number of years now and make an annual donation every October",
Tracey McDonald, General Manager of Hunters Care Centre

Residents, staff and visitors at a Cirencester Care Home have been putting together a large hamper of food to donate to Cirencester Foodbank, which helps local people in crisis by supplying three days of emergency food.

Hunters Care Centre, a Barchester Healthcare run home in Cirencester has been collecting food item donations for the past month, encouraging their residents, their staff and visitors to the home to donate much needed items of food for the Charity.

Tracey McDonald, General Manager of Hunters Care Centre said, ‘We have been supporting Cirencester Foodbank for a number of years now and make an annual donation every October.’

‘We begin collecting donations of food items at the start of September and continue for the month, capturing the generosity of the local community as they visit and each year, our hamper gets larger! On 1st October, we hold a Harvest Festival Supper for our residents and visitors to thank them for their generous donations and for helping us to support a very worthwhile community charity.’
