Bishops Walk Secures Great New Shops

Bishops Walk, the shopping arcade in Cirencester, will welcome some great new businesses in the coming weeks. Indeed two have already opened - Artisan, a new speciality coffee house and Planet Games and Gadgets.
The announcement follows a major campaign by property managers David Allberry and Company to fight the current economic downturn.
"As with every other town and city, Cirencester has had its share of knocks; now we hope we can regain our position commercially as the capital of the Cotswolds", said David Allberry.
Bishops Walk, the only covered shopping arcade in Cirencester, has campaigned through the past year, including a cut in rates for 50% of the shops. The appeal is already underway.
A novel look for the high roof section of the centre will be unveiled on October 2 when hanging mobiles created by students at Deer Park School and Cirencester College will be judged and lauch at a special event, with music from some of the school's talented performers.
New shops in Bishops Walk include an electronics games business, coffee house and a fruit and vegetable shop.
