Free all day parking is available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays in the staff car parks serving Cotswold District Council, Trinity Road, GL7 1PX and St James's Place, Hammond Way, GL7 1FP (next to the Leisure Centre).

In addition, there is free roadside parking in a section of Cricklade Street, near the junction with Querns Lane. There is also various other 'on-street' parking scattered across the town centre.

Cirencester's 'free after 3pm' scheme ended on April 2022. This scheme allowed free parking in two town centre car parks after 3pm.

The Old Kennels Car Park

In addition to these car parks, The Old Kennels Car Park is a new 46-space car park for visitors to Cirencester Park (Cirencester Park is open daily from 8.00am to 5.00pm) and is located at The Old Kennels, Cirencester Park, GL7 1XU. Take the Stroud exit off the roundabout on the A429 and then look out for a sign for Cirencester Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite on the right. Take this right turning and travel down the road until you see two stone pillars marking the entrance to the parking area.

The Old Kennels Car Park includes 5 parking spaces for disabled people and an area specifically designed for up to 8 bicycles and 2 motorcycles.

To improve environmental sustainability, 6 EV (payable) charging points are available.

Parking charges start at £1.20 for up to 1 hour, rising to £9.00 for up to 6 hours with options for up to 2 hours (£2.40) and 4 hours (£3) also available.

The public parking area is referred to as Section B. There is a larger area adjacent to Section B called Section A and this is for permit holders only so make sure you park in Section B.

If you are looking for Blue Badge parking, there are dedicated spaces in the following car parks - Abbey Grounds, Brewery, Forum, Old Station and Waterloo.

If you have searched for 'free disabled parking', be advised that Blue Badge holders may also park, free of charge for up to three hours, in the designated pay and display bays in the Market Place and along Castle Street.

N.B. Cricklade Street is a pedestrian zone and prohibits access to traffic, including Blue Badge holders, from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm.

Cirencester's Beeches car park has two electric vehicle charging points.

You can charge your electrical vehicle in 30 minutes. It costs £4 to charge and park for a maximum of one hour. There is a one hour maximum limit and the car must then be moved to another space if the owner wishes to remain parked.

Coach and lorry parking in Cirencester

The Coach Parking and Lorry Parking facilities at Cirencester Lorry Park closed a few years ago. The site is now home to Premier Inn and Beefeater.

Limited coach parking is now available on Old Tetbury Road. It is suggested that coaches drop-off at South Way before parking up on Old Tetbury Road, near the Leisure Centre.

Motorhome parking in Cirencester

As mentioned above, the Cirencester Lorry Park, which was able to accommodate motor home style vehicles, closed a long time ago. So there are no current facilities for motorhome parking.

Small motorhomes or campervans may be able to park in the Cirencester car parks as long as they fit within a parking bay, but large motorhomes will not fit in the parking spaces.
