Dating back many hundreds of years to the 12th century, the Mop Fair in Cirencester takes it's name from it's original purpose, a hiring event where servants carried the tools of their trade to show that they were available for work.

The 2023 Cirencester Mop Fair was held in the Market Place and surrounding streets on Monday 9th October and Monday 16th October between 12pm and 10pm.
